Pastor Tim Carter Ordained in the Wesleyan Church

Sawyersville Church rejoices in the official ordination of Pastor Tim Carter in the Wesleyan Church, a moment that Pastor Tim describes as both a divine gift and the result of years of hard work. The ordination service was led by General Superintendent Wayne Schmidt and District Superintendent Tim Jones.

Pastor Tim’s ministry journey began more than two decades ago, when he was first ordained by the Quakers, a process they call “Recording.” At the time, he never imagined he would be ordained again. But after returning to his roots and becoming a Wesleyan minister just over two years ago, he learned that full ordination was necessary to serve as a senior pastor.

To fulfill that calling, Pastor Tim completed additional college courses and pastoral training – an experience he embraced wholeheartedly. “God was really good to me, and I greatly benefited from the additional training,” he said. “I hadn’t taken college courses in a long time, and boy, did it recalibrate my brain. The last course, on Holiness, I scored a solid 100. It was mostly essays, and I was deeply challenged and strengthened in my faith.”

Pastor Tim believes God clearly led him to Sawyersville Church, where both he and Dawn have deepened their commitment to the Lord. “This ordination is a sacred event,” he said. “Praise His name for His goodness in calling me to His service. I pray that Dawn and I may serve Jesus well with all our hearts.”

The Sawyersville congregation celebrates with Pastor Tim and Dawn in this meaningful moment and looks forward to the ways God will continue to use them in ministry.
