At Sawyersville Wesleyan Church, our ministries are dedicated to serving and uplifting our community through faith, compassion, and outreach. Whether you’re looking to grow spiritually, connect with others, or engage in service, there’s a place for you to be inspired and make a difference.
Children’s Ministry
Our Children’s Ministry is led by Dawn Carter, wife of Pastor Tim. With 35 years of teaching experience in public schools, Dawn now serves as the church’s “special ministry coordinator,” playing a vital role in outreach projects and leading numerous children and youth programs. Her unwavering support extends to many areas, including assisting her husband’s ministry.

Youth Ministry
Youth ministry at Sawyersville Wesleyan Church is a welcoming space where students grow in their faith, build authentic friendships, and learn how to live out God’s love in their everyday lives. Through engaging Bible teaching, meaningful conversations, and fun activities, teens are encouraged to know Christ deeply and lead with purpose in their schools, families, and community.
Ladies Aglow
Join us for Sawyersville Ladies Aglow, a time of fellowship, snacks, laughter, and inspiration! This monthly gathering is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other women, share in meaningful conversations, and be encouraged in faith. We meet the first Saturday of every month at 2:00 p.m.

Backpack Program
Our church is proud to support local children heading back to school through our Backpack Program. We provide backpacks filled with essential school supplies to help students start the year off right and set them up for success.
Karate (class is currently at capacity)
Join us every Tuesday evening from 6:15-7:15 PM for free karate classes at Sawyersville Church. Our experienced instructors, Pastor Tim Carter (5th Dan) and Justin Fields (3rd Dan), are committed to teaching both martial arts skills and character development in a welcoming, faith-centered environment. These classes are offered at no cost to students who demonstrate commitment to learning and growing through this unique ministry opportunity. Whether you’re a beginner or have previous experience, all ages and skill levels are welcome to participate in this exciting program that combines physical fitness, discipline, and community fellowship.

Other Ministries
Throughout the year, our church hosts several community outreach events, such as the annual barbecue, homecoming celebration and “Cutting for a Cause.”
