Visiting a church for the first time can feel intimidating, and it’s natural to have questions. We’ve put together answers to some of the most common questions we hear from first-time guests at Sawyersville Wesleyan Church.

What time are your services?

We gather for worship each Sunday at 11 a.m. We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early so you have time to park, find your way around and get settled before the service begins. We also offer Sunday School beginning at 10 a.m.

Where are you located?

Sawyersville Wesleyan Church is located at 157 Sawyersville Road, Asheboro, NC 27203. Parking is available on-site, and our team would be happy to help you find your way when you arrive.

What should I wear?

You’ll find people dressed in a variety of styles, from casual to more traditional Sunday attire. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. We want you to focus on worship, not your wardrobe.

How long is a typical service?

Our worship services typically last about an hour. Services include worship through music, prayer and a message from God’s Word.

What is the worship style like?

Our services are centered on worship, biblical teaching and connecting with God. We seek to create an atmosphere that is welcoming, authentic and focused on Christ.

Do you have programs for children?

Yes! We offer age-appropriate ministry opportunities for children during our services. Our goal is to provide a safe, engaging environment where children can learn about Jesus and grow in their faith.

Is nursery care available?

Yes. Nursery care is available for younger children. Our volunteers are committed to providing a caring and secure environment for your little ones.

What happens when I arrive?

You’ll be welcomed by friendly faces who can help answer questions, direct you to children’s check-in if needed and help you find a seat. There’s no pressure – we simply want you to feel at home.

Will I be asked to give money?

No. While giving is part of worship for our church family, guests are never expected or pressured to give.

Do I need to be a Christian to attend?

Not at all. Whether you’re exploring faith, returning to church after a long time away or looking for a church home, you’re welcome here.

What denomination is Sawyersville Wesleyan Church?

Sawyersville Wesleyan Church is part of the Wesleyan denomination. We are committed to helping people know Jesus, grow in their faith and live out God’s love in their daily lives.
