A special message from Pastor Tim
Dear Sawyersville family (and friends), – As we gather in heart and spirit on this holy Christmas Eve, I want to share a bit of my recent journey with you. This is a quiet testimony of grace that I’ve truly experienced-and I’m grateful to walk it with you. It started with a surprise test result revealing a 90-99% blocked carotid artery-my own “widowmaker.” Doctors warned of devastating risks either way: surgery could bring a stroke, or waiting meant certain death…
Journey to Bethlehem
On December 6, about 30 of us went from the church to Journey to Bethlehem in Thomasville. We had a wonderful time and my wife Dawn Carter lead in hymns on the way over. We had wondrously special hot chocolate and saw one of the most professional beautiful live nativity Productions that is done anywhere ever! See more photos here

Serving Together: Sauce-Making for the Annual Barbecue

We are excited to share a special milestone from Pastor Tim G. Carter. After four years of study and preparation, Pastor Tim has completed the rough draft of his new work, The Miracle Power of the 23rd Psalm. This study represents 35 sermons and nearly 300,000 words of preaching, carefully distilled into a manuscript of 18 chapters and a preface. The book will be co-authored with Margo DeGange, a nationally recognized Women’s Conference speaker. Together, their voices will bring this…
Community Breakfast & Donation Clothing Sale – Sept. 13
Join us at Sawyersville Wesleyan Church on Saturday, September 13, from 7:00–10:30 a.m. for a warm community breakfast and a special donation-only clothing sale. All clothing was generously provided by a church member who recently closed a local dry cleaning business. Proceeds from both the breakfast and clothing sale will support Sawyersville’s Outreach Ministries, including our newly launched Aftercare Ministry for children, as well as needed repairs such as replacing a downstairs air conditioning unit. Come enjoy a good meal,…
Annual apple run to the mountains
Today our church family enjoyed our annual trip to the mountains for apples! Around 18–19 participants joined in the fun, and after gathering apples, the group shared a wonderful meal together at a local restaurant in Sawyersville. It was a day filled with laughter, fellowship, and God’s beautiful creation—a special tradition that continues to bring us closer together.
Ladies Aglow serves with love
On Saturday, September 6, our Ladies Aglow group gathered for a special time of fellowship and service. Together, they prepared beautiful gift baskets for patients at the local cancer center, filling each one with encouragement, comfort, and prayer. We’re grateful for their servant hearts and the way they continue to share Christ’s love in practical and meaningful ways.
